What an affiliate link means
Where we identify a link as an affiliate link, the publisher may receive a commission or referral payment if you make a qualifying purchase or take the specified action through it. The merchant or network controls attribution and eligibility. Check the provider’s current price, shipping, returns and transaction terms; we do not promise that every offer has the same price or conditions.
A link to a manufacturer, retailer or manual is not automatically an affiliate link. Source links are included to help readers check the statements and requirements used in our work.
Where disclosures appear
A page containing a compensated recommendation or link will identify the relationship near that recommendation or link, in clear language. This general page and a footer link are supporting information, not substitutes for a visible disclosure beside the commercial material.
The relevant disclosure will identify a sponsored placement, paid referral, supplied review product or other material benefit where applicable. We do not claim membership in a named affiliate programme until participation is confirmed.
The current measurement tools
Our initial flow calculator, backwash comparison checker and associated methods are educational planning resources. They do not give an affiliate product recommendation or identify equipment that has been approved for your property. A comparison outcome must remain within its stated measurement and evidence limits.
Commercial independence
- A commission must not change a documented requirement, an eligibility threshold or an unresolved result.
- We distinguish a manufacturer’s statement, our arithmetic and our interpretation.
- We do not describe equipment as personally tested unless the relevant testing has actually been performed and its scope is stated.
- A brand relationship does not establish that a product is suitable for your chemistry, supply, drainage or installation.
- Paid placements and free or discounted products must be identified where they influence a recommendation or review.
